Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 4 Mint sprigs
  • 6 Cups Water
  • Ice

Instructions

  • Rinse off the lemon, cucumber and mint.
  • Juice half of the lemon, and cut the other half into ¼" wide rounds.
  • Cut the cucumber into ¼" wide rounds.
  • Put lemon juice, cucumber and lemon rounds, and mint sprigs into a glass pitcher. Add water, and mix.
  • Place pitcher into the refrigerator for at least 2 hours for flavors to infuse.
  • To serve, pour over ice in a glass.

Notes

Another effective method to prepare and preserve this mixture for future use involves extracting juice from lemons, finely dicing cucumbers and mint, and freezing them in ice cube trays. When you desire a refreshing drink, simply drop one or two of these frozen cubes into a glass of water.
